Lettuce Soup (Deborah)

3 good heads of lettuce; 1 medium sized onion;  2 medium sized (any) potatoes; 1/2 pint chicken stock; 1/2 pint milk; knob of butter or oil

Wilt cleaned lettuce with butter; chop potato into cubes, and onion roughly chopped and add both to wilted lettuce. Add stock, bring to boil and simmer for 15 minutes or until potatoes are cooked. Blend. Add milk and heat through but not boil.

No salt here, you may wish to add a little.
